Fillets 80-150g Wild Caught by Longlining Day Boats.
Habitat: Schools of Red Snapper are found around reefs and muddy bottoms in depths of between 5-400 meters.
They feed from a wide variety of small fish, mollusks and crustaceans fastened to rocks.
Fillets: Red Snapper Fillets are deep and short, tapering towards the tail. The flesh is medium textured, with a delicate flavor.
Cooking Methods: It is an ideal fish for practically all methods. Can be Poached, Baked, BBQ, Curry, Marinade, Soup/Chowder or Fried.
It is a favorite of Fine Dining Establishments.
